UNO is a free and simple PC version of the popular card game where you need to get rid of all the cards in your hand before anybody else in order to win the game. This light version supports two, three, or four players, and its nice graphics faithfully resemble the design of the original cards, including the Draw, Skip, Reverse, and Draw Four/Wild cards.
The game’s interface is fairly straightforward, showing a simple table where all the cards of the different players are shown face down. A draw pile is placed in the center of the table for all players to draw cards when needed. Your cards are turned over for you to choose your next move, remembering that the card you choose needs to be either of the same color or the same number as the card on the top of the discard pile. The moves of your opponents are decided by the computer, and an arrow shows the direction of the hand at any given time (which, as you know, Reverse cards will change every time a player throws one down). Points are earned from the cards left in the hands of your opponents whenever you get rid of yours first. The first player in reaching 500 points wins the game.
The program offers “Quickie games”, in which only one hand is played. At the end of every hand you will be informed of the total points earned by each player, as well as the total scores.
All in all, this is a very convenient way of playing UNO on your PC. Its lightweight executable needs no installation, and the app itself requires no specific settings on your side. All you need to do is open the file, select the number of players, and start playing.
